Balmain Toastmasters was established in May 1992. Our inaugral meeting was held in Clontarf Cottage, Wallace Street, Balmain and this delighful cottage has been our home ever since. We've had members reach the International Level in speaking competitions and we participate in contests and skill training sessions with other clubs in Sydney and NSW. Our membership fees consist of a $30 joining fee - that covers your Communication Manual, and then a membership fee of $70.00 renewed six-monthly. Fees may be tax deductible.
We are a non-profit organisation that runs on the commitment and volunteer work of our membership. Our members come from Balmain, Rozelle, Lilyfield, Leichhardt, Birchgrove, Drummoyne, Annandale, Gladesville and further afield.
